How it happened

01
The Beginning

The cashier and the accountant never agreed

Sales happened at the register, inventory lived in a separate sheet, and accounting reconciled everything manually at the end of the month — by which point the numbers rarely matched.

02
The Challenge

Selling can't stop when the internet does

A cloud-only POS is a liability the moment the connection drops during a busy hour — and in this market, connections drop. Sales, inventory and accounting needed to share one source of truth without making the register hostage to a WiFi router.

03
How We Solved It

Offline-first, synced when it can

I built the POS to work offline by default and sync the moment connectivity returns, with sales, inventory, purchasing and accounting all reading from the same underlying data model — no more end-of-month reconciliation archaeology.

04
The Result

One number, agreed on by everyone

The register never stops selling, and for the first time, the sales floor and the back office are reading the same inventory count in real time.
